Mainstage Productions provides professional Motorola MOTOTRBO digital radio systems for touring productions, festivals, live events and large-scale entertainment.

Our growing fleet is centred around the latest Motorola R7 FKP Premium radios, with every system prepared around the requirements of the production. Whether you need a few radios for a department or a complete production-wide fleet, we can build, programme and package a system to suit.

Built Around Your Production

Every production works differently, so we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all radio package.

We can programme channels, zones, talk groups and individual radio IDs around your departments and operational requirements. Radios can also be personalised with names, departments, numbering and identification labels, making distribution and management much easier on a busy production.

Compatible systems can also support over-the-air management and configuration, giving us greater flexibility to make changes to a fleet without individually connecting every radio.

Whether you need six radios for one department, additional units to supplement an existing system or radios for an entire touring production, Mainstage can scale the package around you.

Smaller systems can be supplied in compact, easy-to-handle cases with simple charging arrangements, while larger fleets can be built into dedicated production cases designed for life on the road.

Charging can also be configured around the production and destination, with practical power arrangements suitable for the countries and locations on your schedule. For international touring, we’ll consider the charging and power requirements as part of the package rather than leaving you with a collection of adaptors to figure out on site.

Mainstage can configure suitable systems with All-Call functionality, allowing authorised users to communicate across the wider radio fleet when required rather than remaining limited to an individual department or channel.

This can be particularly useful for production management and other key personnel who may need to reach multiple departments quickly.

The wider system can still be organised around individual departments and working groups, keeping everyday communications manageable while providing the additional functionality the production needs.

Frequency Coordination — UK & Worldwide

Taking radios internationally means considering the frequency and licensing requirements of every territory on the schedule.

Mainstage can manage frequency coordination and licensing support for UK and worldwide productions, working through the requirements of each location as part of preparing your communications package.

Give us the schedule and we’ll work with the production to coordinate the radio requirements for the territories you’re visiting, including working with local coordinators or relevant parties where required.

This means frequency planning can form part of the tour advance rather than becoming another problem to solve when the production arrives on site.

Our radio service can form part of a much wider communications system.

Mainstage can integrate Motorola radio channels with wired and wireless production intercom, allowing selected radio and comms users to communicate across systems.

We can supply complete communications packages using systems such as Riedel Bolero, Riedel Artist and Clear-Com, or integrate our radio equipment with an existing touring, production or venue comms system.

This allows departments that are better suited to radios to remain on radios, while selected channels can be connected into the wider production intercom where required.
