2026 – Continuing Momentum

2026 has already seen Mainstage Productions return to large-scale international touring, continuing to build on the momentum of previous years.

So far, we have been supporting Ed Sheeran – Loop Tour, delivering technical services across show networks, dimmer (power) systems, and Follow-Me Track-iT operation. This role involves managing critical show infrastructure, ensuring reliable power distribution, and supporting performer tracking systems that are integral to the production’s lighting design.

Working on a production of this scale further reinforces Mainstage’s capability in delivering dependable, high-performance technical support across complex touring environments.

2025 – Expanding Global Production Work

Throughout 2025, Mainstage Productions continued to expand its involvement across international touring, festivals, and large-scale live events, working in collaboration with a range of leading production partners including Siyan Ltd, Neg Earth, Upstaging, and Solotech.

We supported Burna Boy with shows in Paris and Manchester on behalf of Siyan Ltd, alongside major event delivery for Eubank vs Benn at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and Diljit Dosanjh at Tottenham, both delivered in partnership with Siyan Ltd. These projects required robust technical support across large-capacity stadium environments, contributing to the delivery of high-profile, broadcast-scale productions.

Festival work remained a key part of the year, including Reading Festival (Reading site) working with Neg Earth, as well as Stage 2 at Download Festival and Radio 1’s Big Weekend, both in collaboration with Siyan Ltd. These events demanded adaptable, fast-paced technical delivery across multi-stage environments, reinforcing our capability within complex festival infrastructures.

On the touring front, we joined the Kendrick Lamar & SZA European Tour, working with Lights Control Rigging (LCR) under Upstaging. This role focused on supporting advanced lighting and rigging systems across multiple European arenas, contributing to a highly dynamic and technically demanding production.

In addition, we continued to support global touring acts alongside Solotech, contributing to productions for artists including Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, further strengthening our presence within top-tier international touring.

These projects highlight Mainstage Productions’ continued growth across touring, festivals, and special events, while reinforcing our reputation for delivering reliable, high-level technical support across a diverse range of production environments.

This role involved overseeing technical crew operations and ensuring the smooth integration and daily operation of both lighting and audio systems within the production environment.

We also supported Adele in Munich, the groundbreaking residency production built specifically for the Munich Messe site. Working as LED Technician and Dimmer Technician, the role focused on maintaining the large-format LED systems and supporting the extensive lighting infrastructure used throughout the show.

2021 – UK Reopens after COVID-19 Pandemic

Whilst working from Sunny Bude, Cornwall, Joe gets the call to head back to London to open Andrew Lloyd Webbers new show: Cinderella The Musical at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West-end.

Cinderella was the driving force for many theatres and helped to prove the the government that venues could reopen with suitable measures in place. That’s not to say we didn’t open and close many times before finally closing in mid 2022.

COVID-19, Light It In Red & #WeMakeEvents

2020 – The year that everything came to a standstill due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Entertainment venues & suppliers across the UK and indeed the world came to a complete standstill. In the UK, our venues were the first to shut and the last to open with most people out of work or ineligible for income support. Many a day was spent at home with no travel allowed and only a Zoom quiz to keep everyone’s spirits up as well as raising money and awareness for the amazing work our NHS staff and support teams were doing.

As restrictions slowly lifted and somekind of old reality glinted in the distance,… our venues and companies still remained shut. The goverment caucous that our events and productions may become super spreaders even with all the provisons put in place. This led to the creation of both the ‘Light It In Red’ Campaign and #WeMakeEvents.

The “Light it in Red” campaign was a movement aimed at raising awareness about the severe impact of COVID-19 on the events industry, particularly live performances, concerts, and festivals, by symbolically illuminating buildings and venues with red lights to highlight the crisis facing the sector and call for support from governments and the public.

2020

Work Begins

From PA hire to Party lights and confetti Cannons. We started small but our popularity grew and grew and soon we were busier than we’d ever been before. This included plenty of PAT Testing jobs, equipment maintenance and servicing.

The beginning of the Mainstage Logo – Early 2019

Many a design was thrown into the ring and we came up with some interesting logos but finally settled on the M with the ring around it. This really incorporated everything we stood for in one bubble and allowed a smart approach to our branding for equipment hire & service & testing needs.
