Mainstage Productions joined LCR Ltd for the European leg of Kendrick Lamar & SZA’s Grand National Tour, working across lighting networks and the touring delay system.
With the production moving through major arenas and stadiums, the role focused on getting the distributed lighting infrastructure deployed, tested and show-ready each day. This included the network backbone alongside the remote delay positions extending the production out into the venue.
Every building brings a different challenge — different distances, routes, positions and local infrastructure — while the touring system still has to deliver the same result every night. Working across both networks and delays meant being involved from the initial build through to final checks and show operation.
Grand National was a fast-moving, ambitious production and a great opportunity to work closely with the wider LCR Ltd team across some of Europe’s biggest venues.
Projects like this are a big part of Mainstage’s background and continue to shape how we approach show networking, fibre infrastructure and large-scale live production.
